Overview

Finnish Conjugator is a Finnish practice app for adults learning Finnish verb, noun, and pronoun forms.

Finnish Conjugator can be used without sign-in. The app does not use Google login, ads, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or developer-operated cloud storage for practice data.

Practice progress, typed answers, custom presets, and settings are stored on the device. Android system backup or device transfer may include app data depending on the user's device and Google account settings. Users can also manually export and import a JSON backup file through Android sharing and document picker features.

Finnish Conjugator does not operate its own cloud storage service for private learning data.

If the app is installed through a Luotsi campaign or affiliate link, it may send minimal install attribution metadata to The Great North Software Company's Luotsi dashboard. This does not include practice content, typed answers, learning progress, Google account information, or payment details.

Data The App Can Process

Finnish Conjugator can process data created by app use:

App settings, such as interface language, translation language, theme, translation display mode, and practice options.
Custom practice presets, including preset names, selected drill filters, and timestamps.
Lesson progress, skill progress, scores, attempts, mastery percentages, streaks, and recent results.
Practice attempt history, including the Finnish form being practised, the typed answer, whether it was correct, response time, hint use, and timestamps.
Manual backup files created by the user.
Local purchase entitlement state for optional full-content unlocks.
Affiliate attribution metadata if the app was installed through a Luotsi campaign link, such as app package, app version, anonymous install ID, and campaign/referrer parameters from Google Play.
App version and basic device details included in a support email only if the user chooses to send feedback from the app.

The app does not intentionally collect advertising identifiers, precise location, phone numbers, contacts, health records, payment card details, photos, audio recordings, or account profile information.

How Data Is Used

Finnish Conjugator uses app data to:

Show lessons and practice sessions.
Check typed answers.
Track learning progress and weak areas.
Build review and continuation practice.
Remember app, language, theme, and practice settings.
Save and load custom practice presets.
Export or import user-controlled backup files.
Restore purchase access through Google Play Billing where available.
Measure whether a Luotsi campaign or affiliate link led to an app install.

The app does not use practice answers or learning progress for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Where Data Is Stored

On The Device

Settings, progress, practice attempts, custom presets, and purchase entitlement state are stored in app-private storage on the device.

Android system backup or device transfer may also include the app's local database and user-facing preferences depending on the user's device and Google account settings. Android cloud backup is disabled when encrypted backup capabilities are unavailable.

Manual Export And Import

If the user chooses to export data, Finnish Conjugator creates a JSON backup file. This file can include settings, custom presets, lesson progress, skill progress, and practice attempt history, including typed answers.

The user controls where the exported file is saved or shared through Android's system sharing interface. Anyone with access to the exported file may be able to read its contents.

Billing entitlement preferences are not included in the manual backup export. Purchase restore should come from Google Play purchase history.

Affiliate Attribution

If the app was installed through a Luotsi campaign link, the app may send a one-time install attribution event to the Luotsi dashboard. The event can include the app package, app version, anonymous install ID, and campaign/referrer parameters from Google Play. It does not include practice content, typed answers, learning progress, account data, or payment details.

Permissions And Device Features

Finnish Conjugator does not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or device files.

The app may use:

Android system sharing: used when the user exports a backup file.
Android document picker: used when the user imports a backup file.
Browser or email apps: used only when the user opens the FAQ or sends feedback.
Google Play Billing: used for optional purchase and restore flows.
Internet access: used for Google Play Billing, support links, and one-time Luotsi install attribution when the app was installed through a Luotsi campaign link.

Sharing

Finnish Conjugator does not sell personal data. The developer does not operate a backend that receives or stores users' private practice data.

If the app was installed through a Luotsi campaign link, minimal install attribution metadata may be shared with the developer-operated Luotsi dashboard to count the campaign install.

Data may leave the device only when the user chooses to:

Use Android backup or device transfer.
Export or share a backup file.
Import a backup file.
Send feedback by email.
Open the FAQ page.
Make or restore a purchase through Google Play Billing.
Report a one-time Luotsi campaign install attribution event.

Purchases

Finnish Conjugator may offer an optional one-time purchase through Google Play Billing.

Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. The developer does not receive payment card details. The app stores local entitlement state needed to unlock purchased content on the device.

Intended Users

Finnish Conjugator is intended for adults learning Finnish.

The app does not include ads, open chat, social features, or communication with strangers.

Retention And Control

Because learning data is stored on the user's device or in backups controlled by the user, The Great North Software Company normally cannot delete that data for the user.

Local data can be controlled by using the app's reset progress option, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app.

Manual backup files are controlled by the user and must be deleted from wherever they were saved or shared.

If Android backup is enabled, backed-up app data may remain in the user's Google account backup according to Android and Google backup behavior.

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of developer-held data, email info@thegreatnorth.fi with the app name and a short description of the request.

We can delete support emails, attachments, and Luotsi affiliate attribution metadata held in our systems. Luotsi attribution metadata can include the app package, app version, anonymous install ID, campaign/referrer parameters, and related campaign event records.

We cannot delete practice content, typed answers, learning progress, manual backup files, Android backups, or Google Play purchase records that are controlled by the user, Android, Google Drive, or Google Play. Those records must be managed through the app, device settings, Google account, backup location, or Google Play.
